The terms "Jardim do Vau", "we" or "our" refer to the owner of the site. "Jardim do Vau" is a registered trademark of Convau – Construções do Vau Lda, headquartered in Praia do Vau, Portimão, Portugal, company registered at the Commercial Registry Office of Portimão under the registration number 1329/1985-06-04.
The terms "your(ies)", "your(ies)" and "customer" refer to the user of the site.

The term "Tourist Products" refers to the rental of accommodation and/or the purchase of leisure activities. Tourist Products may also include complementary services such as car rental and/or others.
You can make your reservation through the Jardim do Vau website or through the contacts mentioned above. If you want to make a reservation directly with Jardim do Vau, you can do so through the contacts mentioned above, at any time of day and any day of the week.
Jardim do Vau is not responsible for any bookings made through third parties.
By accessing and entering your data on our website, you are making a proposal to contract the selected Tourist Products, if they are available.
When making the proposal to contract the selected Tourist Products, if they are available, Jardim do Vau will send you an email confirming your reservation. This email is an acknowledgment of how Jardim do Vau received your proposal. If the selected Tourist Products are available, but not at the price or dates mentioned, Jardim do Vau will contact you by phone or e-mail in order to book the Tourist Products at the applicable price and/or alternative dates . If you agree, we will contact you by phone or email to confirm the reservation and start the payment procedure.
After receiving our proposal confirmation email, the payment terms are as follows:
1 - For standard bookings, without any associated discount:
- 20% of the total reservation amount to be paid after confirmation by Jardim do Vau. After payment of this deposit, Jardim do Vau will confirm receipt of the deposit and secure the reservation.
- 80% of the total reservation amount to be paid directly at check-in.
2 - For early bookings, with a 20% discount:
- 50% of the total reservation amount to be paid after confirmation by Jardim do Vau. After payment of this deposit, Jardim do Vau will confirm receipt of the deposit and secure the reservation.
- 50% of the total reservation amount to be paid directly at check-in.
3 - For non-refundable reservations:
- 100% of the total amount of the reservation to be paid after confirmation given by Jardim do Vau. After payment of this deposit, Jardim do Vau will confirm receipt of the deposit and secure the reservation.
For other special rates, the payment plan will be informed by Jardim do Vau's reservations department.
All prices mentioned on the Jardim do Vau website are presented in Euros and include the VAT rate applicable in Portugal.
The information and prices shown on the Jardim do Vau website may change before confirming your reservation. Jardim do Vau always strives to keep all information and prices up to date.
However, we ask that, when booking, you always confirm the details (including prices) of the accommodation and/or Tourist Products.
Changes Made by the Customer
If you wish to make any changes to your reservation after receiving the recognition email from Jardim do Vau, we will do our best to accommodate your request. The change request must be made in writing. If you wish to change the number of people for whom the reservation was made, the cost of the Tourist Products booked will be recalculated according to the new numbers presented and our availability.
If you wish to extend the period of your stay, this extension will also be subject to the availability of the desired Tourist Products.
From the moment we confirm your reservation, Jardim do Vau starts incurring costs and the later you cancel, the more difficult it becomes for resale.
Thus, the customer will have the right to cancel their reservation up to thirty days before their arrival, and Jardim do Vau will refund all amounts paid up to that date.
If the client cancels the reservation less than thirty days before the arrival date, Jardim do Vau will not make any refund.
Jardim do Vau will charge the equivalent of three nights' stay in case of no-show by the client.
Jardim do Vau will have the right to cancel the reservation in cases where payment conditions or deadlines are not met. If the customer has already made a partial payment, this is non-refundable.
All cancellations must be requested in writing to the above mentioned contacts.
Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Maestro and debit cards.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in from 16:00 and Check-out until 12:00.
For customers whose flights arrive before 4 pm, and if you want immediate access to your apartment, we suggest that your reservation includes the night before.
Likewise, if your departure flight is late, you can book one more night's accommodation in order to enjoy your apartment until departure time.
If you do not want to book additional nights, we will be happy to store your luggage and provide our changing rooms to refresh you.
The reservation of any Tourist Products will be made based on the information provided by our website. All other information that may be provided by our staff during the act of booking does not represent any additional guarantee unless this is confirmed in writing at the time of booking confirmation.
Any special requests must be made at the time of booking. Jardim do Vau will make every effort to satisfy any requests made to it, however, it cannot guarantee that they will be carried out, and Jardim do Vau does not constitute a breach of contract.
During your stay, if you have any problem related to the reserved Tourist Products, please notify Jardim do Vau immediately (while still during your stay) so that we can find a solution. If you are not satisfied with the solution presented by Jardim do Vau and would like to address the issue after your departure, please contact Jardim do Vau, Praia do Vau, 8500-820 Portimão, in writing, within 15 (fifteen) days following the your check-out date, detailing the events. The complaint will be analyzed and the necessary measures taken. Complaints received after 15 (fifteen) days will not be considered.
For the resolution of any dispute arising out of this contract that is not resolved extrajudicially, the parties elect the Court of Portimão, Algarve, Portugal, as the competent court, waiving any other jurisdiction.

This regulation defines how Jardim do Vau uses and protects the information that the customer makes available when accessing and using the Jardim do Vau website.

Jardim do Vau is committed to ensuring that customer data are secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your data, we have implemented physical, electronic and administrative procedures that safeguard the information collected through the website.

Jardim do Vau will not sell, distribute or grant the personal data of customers to third parties. Occasionally, you may use your personal data to send promotional information from third parties that may be of interest to you.

Privacy and Cookies

The following rules apply to all title holders and guests at Jardim do Vau
. Check-in is after 4:00 p.m.
. An open credit card deposit is required upon check-in for payment security purposes.
. Check-out is until 12 noon. If luggage remains within the apartment after this time, an extra night’s accommodation shall be debited.
. Confirmation of the booking is subject to a deposit of 20%, 50% or 100%, depending on the rate booked; balance is to be paid upon arrival at the reception desk.
. In the event that a booking is cancelled within a period of less than 30 days before the arrival date, a cancellation cost equal to that of the deposit amount paid by the client shall be applied.
. Unanticipated departures and no-shows are not liable for refunds.
. Guests are not permitted access to service and staff areas.
. Smoking is prohibited in any closed area within Jardim do Vau.
. Pets are not permitted.
. Feeding the birds or other animals is not permitted.
. It is not permitted to reserve sun beds or relocate them elsewhere.
. It is not permitted to make noise nor practice any other act that may disturb the peace and rest of other guests.
. No acts of vandalism or violence will be tolerated at Jardim do Vau. Anyone practising such acts will be expelled from the hotel and will answer to local law enforcement authorities.
. The hotel is only responsible for items left in the care of the reception front desk.
. Any breakages or damages will be charged immediately and directly to the guest.
. All guests are obliged to comply with the rules displayed in the common use areas.
. Housekeeping service is daily and does not include the washing of dishes or the guest’s personal clothing.
. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
